DESCRIPTION:

The language and format are for all intents and purposes are difficult to get through. Developers or Programmers who need to understand certain decisions adopted by the XPath Standard would probably be the target audience for this book.I purchased this book because I wanted to learn about XPath commands outside of products which incorporate Xpath commands, as most texts on the subject are product-specific and it can be difficult to find a simple book about Xpath only. For anyone in. It allows XML nodes to be referenced by absolute and relative positions, and by complex matches on attributes using numeric, boolean and date expressions. This manual is a printed edition of the XPath 2.0 standard from the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). XPath is an open standard for addressing nodes in XML documents. For each copy of this manual sold, the publisher donates 1 USD to support the development of freely-redistributable XML-related software projects.
