I liked the informal tone and the down-to-earth advice. A marvellous little book, full of nuggets of wisdom from the "who's who?" of our industry. I highly recommend this book to all young and aspiring geoscientists. --Dan Hampson, Hampson-RussellThis is a great book The contributing authors are among the best-known names in our profession. I predict that when you get a copy of this book in your hand, you will look at every page. --Bob Hardage, SEG presidentI was grinning to myself as I read some of the comments. The bite-sized pieces of advice will be most useful to students starting out in the field. The subject each author selects is an essential thing that we all need to know about geophysics
Petroleum explorationists--get this book! GEOFIZ6 Prof The book is a collection of 1-2 page essays by practicing geophysicists, most of whom work for companies doing oil exploration. There is some general philosophy and advice about developing your career, but mostly it has to do with detailed tips about processing and interpreting seismic data, useful for the kind of geophysicists who read the "Geophysical Corner" column in AAPG Explorer. So if you know about "Geophysical Corner", or. I recommend Carlos André Martins de Assis This book is full of professional advices for young geophysicists. It is worth reading. I am satisfied and I have already recommended to a friend.. Enjoy the format and content Not sure how any geophysicist wouldn't enjoy what is presented in this book. Great insights. I'd love to see another volume
