She added coals to the fire Another death in sleepy Finch! The generally disliked Prunella "Pruneface" Hooper is found dead one fine morning by her landlady laying in full view by the window of her cottage. "A charming book." according to S. Novoselac. What a charming book! Lori Shepherd learned that a woman she thought of as a fictional character was real, had passed away, and had left her a cottage in England. She only knew that "Aunt Dimity" was the supposed author of stories her mother had told her when she was a little girl. Her mother had also passed away and Lori felt very alone in the world, and guilty becau. Find out about Derek and Emma! I've been on an Aunt Dimity kick. I have read the books out of order but have enjoyed the vast majority of them. This is a great addition to the series as it doesn't have Lori or Bill. This book shares the story of Emma and Derek and how they came together. It's great to see the peripheral characters fleshed out more.

Author tour. . At the end of this amusing but silly tale, Bill and pregnant Lori move to England, delighting Aunt Dimity's ghost. Copyright 1996 Reed Business Information, Inc. Further clues come from Dimity's ghost via her leather-bound journal, in which Lori observes Dimity's handwriting materialize on the page. There she finds the British Willises?including sexy Gerald, efficient Lucy and bumbling Arthur?who are at odds, their family law firm in disarray. When a case keeps Bill in Boston, Lori heads overseas with her father-in-law, William Willis Sr. The plot hangs on an 18th-century feud that divided the family, resulting in murder and theft, and leading to present-day blackmail; the villain is easily identified. Lori plans a second honeymoon for herself and her overworked husband, lawyer Bill Willis, in the idyllic English cottage Lori inherited from Dimity (Aunt Dimity's Death, 1992).
