"Five Stars" according to gerardo valdez. great book. Good material for AIR TRANSPORT Aircraft A Customer This book does a GREAT job explaining MANY of the sytems found in Air Transport Category aircraft. It also does a very good job explaining the basic theory involved in many avionic systems, such as synchros, resolvers and flux valves. If the book were updated to cover some of the newer avionic systems, it would be the PERFECT book for an Avionics Fundamentals class!However, despite the picture of an Electronic Instrument System (EFIS) instrument panel on the cover, it has almost NO information about EFIS. It could also use MORE coverage about, ARINC 429 (the standard for digital busses on most aircraft) newer strapdown . OUT-OF-DATE FOR TODAY'S GENERAL AVIATION COCKPIT! A Customer Technological changes in today's avionics have rendered this book obsolete.
