Kate V. Somerville said A BOY's book, A BOY's book, 30 words the entire book. Not to mention it popped up while looking for a soccer ball for a baby girl, I thought I was getting a ball. But boy, what a dumb book. I thought oh well, get her a book. But I can't give this. All the boys get to handle the ball. The one picture of a girl just stands there holding the ball looking dumb. Hasn't anything changed? Stephen Berg, you so-and-so.. 0 words the entire book.. Not to mention it popped up while looking for a soccer ball for a baby girl, I thought I was getting a ball. I checked this book out because I have 5 kids and am constantly buying books. I like books on soccer and I thought this was the perfect book to read to your youngster. It presents a nice vocabulary and the graphics are engaging. Read this book to your child enough times and they'll read it back to you. And maybe even ask for a soccer ball. 5 Stars.. Baby's First Soccer! Peggy Kamphaus It's pluses were: thick pages, nice illustrations, size of book. The minuses were: story was not very interesting, but you can make up a better one if you like soccer.
