DESCRIPTION:

One of the best books! Just like many of the other reviews, this book will change your perspective about how you see your country and your environment. At first, I did not find interest in the text, yet gradually reading I found myself intrigue and thinking about my own environment. This book is very informative and will allow you have the environmental knowledge that you and many others deserve to have. Eye-opening and lovely in every way. This is a must read book. I will be reading this book a second timeand possibly a third time.. "Class Textbook" according to M. Geyer. This book is very well written, well researched, and the subjects covered are broad. It seems to compliment the instructor in my class very well. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is a lack of perspective re sustainability, i.e., human kind keeps surviving disasters, endemics, disease, etc., only to increase in population. It's well written, easy to read, and each chapter is organized well. I actually really enjoyed this textbook, and I'm not usually a textbook lover.
