"A gritty thriller that will leave you hanging on the edge of your motorcycle seat" according to itzrissa2u. Shea is just how I like my protagonists. She's not perfect. She's an ex-con turned good. She believes in second chances and employs other ex-cons at her shop. She's not a cute biker chick and she isn't an over the top bad ass. Her character is realistic and flawed. The writer really fleshed her out well and brought her to life.It was fun to read, fraught with danger, with several different plot lines that came together well. Learning about the horrors Shea has faced in the past and how it has affected her today really made this m. "I started this book with questions about whether I would enjoy it" according to G. I have never ridden a motorcycle, belonged to a gang, been in prison, etc. Nothing in common with the characters at all, but what the heck, why not read something that removes me from my bubble a little bit?It turns out that I'm glad I did. I liked Shea right from the beginning. She was surrounded with temptations, even though she wanted to put her life right after some stumbles in her past. She had suffered unspeakable family issues and rose above them, scarred both literally and figuratively. She truly cared about her patched-t.
