"Good for verbal and writing" according to Monika. This is a great book if you want to increase your verbal score on the GMAT. I am not sure why this book is not as popular as some of the other books but it sure has some good content. Although AWA is not considered to be an important part of the score, it should not be neglected as most top business schools do look at the AWA scores. This book will surely help you write well organized essays. Other verbal sections are also nicely covered in this book. Highly recommended!. Very Good for GMAT Verbal O. Suwanapakdee Although most of GMAT Readers focus on Test Prep, such as Princeton Reviewm and Kaplan, and never pays attention to McGraw Hill, I can ensure that this book gives you some perspectives about verbal, especially Reading Comp Strategy which I am weak at. They have some good examples with good explanation which you can not find from other test prep. This book might not be the single book used but you can use together with other Test Prep to improve your score.. Alejandro Hardziej said Good, not the best. I bought this book hoping it would cover all aspects of my preparation for the verbal review of the GMAT. The content is good and overall I'm satisfied with what you get for what you pay. Here are some pros and cons:PROS- The concepts and knowledge you need for the test are well covered. Other guides only focus on the strategies.- For each verbal section, the book clearly explains where most test-takers fail and why (which I found very useful)- Good structure. It first covers "what" you need and then "how" to apply it. Other guides mix content with strategies, making it confusing.CONS-
