Hal You ROCK. Didin't know you were so much Amazon Customer Hal You ROCK. Didin't know you were so much a part of my growing up years. After I read this book for the second time I had to buy a copy.. Leopold Stotch said Engaging to a degree, but Hal deserves better. am I the only one who finds it laughable that this book credits an editor on the front cover, yet is one of the worst-edited books I've read in ages? Just riddled with typos, spacing errors, misplaced commas, missing quotation marks, and much more. Given the lifelong pursuit of perfection that has defined Hal Blaine's musicianship, it really is an insult to the great man and his gifts.Looking beyond these petty but distracting flaws, the boo. Great book to read after The Wrecking Crew If you thoroughly enjoyed The Wrecking Crew, and/or are simply interested in Pop/Rock of the '60s/'70s, this is an excellent 'next book' to read. In fact, you may not be able to put it down once you start reading. But be aware that it is only 118 pages long (plus discography, etc.), hence comparatively quite pricey; that is the main reason it got four, not five, stars.
