I am disappointed in the plot I am not done reading the latest entry in the Gaslight series, but have read them all to this point. I must admit, I am disappointed in the plot, the lack of character development, but most of all, in the depiction of Sarah and Frank now that they are married and have money. They lacked the spark that was so charming in the previous books. Their transition to affluence seems . Not as good as the last one Not as good as the last one. I was surprised at how enjoyable the last book was despite Frank and Sara being out of the story on their honeymoon. The secondary characters really had a chance to shine. Unfortunately the opposite is true in this book. With Frank and Sara back this book was lacking the fun that the secondary characters of Gino and Maeve and the other family memb. P. H. Sayles said A new and intriiguing work by Victoria Thompson. I came to this book a bit later than the rest of the world. That said, it is an excellent read and has considerable plots twists that lead one to jump to conclusions as they try to guess the outcome of Malloy`s latest paying case.
