DESCRIPTION:
Wonderful read, poignant, evocative and most beautifully written!! penny kaufman Let me start off by saying that this is not the sort of book I generally read. I'm more of a cozy mystery a la 'Murder, She Wrote' kind of person. I met Maddi in in a chat group and when another chatter referred to her book, I had the urge to read it as soon as possible. And I was not disappointed. I've never thought of my life as a journey I am oone of those people who has existed day to day, lurching from one unconnected situation to anot. An Inspiring Book In Passage of the Stork: Delivering The Soul (Springtime Books 2015) Madeleine Lenagh has written a very moving and eloquent autobiography. The author shares intimate details of her life, both the joys and sorrows, and the courage it took for her to take life-altering directions to be true to herself and bring peace to her soul. The challenges she faced inspired her to take a different course with her life, ultimately finding a more spiritu. A beautiful thought-provoking work! Robert I cried wonderful tears of acknowledgement, laughed at reflections of myself, and thoroughly enjoyed this book. I am only amazed that it is so short, as Maddi's life has been so full so far! We come from the same generation and therefore have many of the same illusions and dissolutions. It was great to see how she explored and conquered or accepted hers. It may be her first book but I certainly hope it is not her last.
A shy and sensitive child, she feels at home in nature and in the world of books. Her life story is told using poetic vignettes and commentary by archetypes from Nordic mythology and fairy tales, with the aim of inspiring others to understand their life's journey and have the courage to make difficult choices.. Madeleine grows up in a home filled with secrets, occasional violence, and little affection. But her real journey has just begun. As a young adult, she escapes to the Netherlands and settles down to raise a family and build a career
Using mythology and metaphor, she traces her journey of self and spiritual realization from the shy young girl to the wise elder. This work by Madeleine Lenagh is one such book. It is a treat to read and savor.". "Every now and then one comes across a narrative so honest in its depth it touches the soul of the reader
