The story is simple enough for a child to understand, although I felt it was a little creepy with the farmer trying to essentially kidnap (pig nap?) Hildy with the intention of turning her into a tasty BBQ delight. Even the shop owner didn't bother warning Hildy that a Pig Pickin' is a BBQ fest.
