DESCRIPTION:

During that time, their teenage son began his own prodigal journey. For more than twenty years she had been leading Bible studies on The Christian Family, and now her own family was falling apart. Promise Point tells a powerful story of God s faithfulness of promises broken and promises kept.. So Harriet went home, and her nineteen-year-old daughter cared for her. Harriet Sulcer didn t want anybody to know her husband had left home. Harriet fell into depression and then financial bankruptcy, losing her home, then losing herself. That s the psychiatric ward. Don t you understand? They cannot help you here. She took her hands off, and she waited, believing, but knowing that God might not complete the work in her lifetime. Lou was gone for ten years. As she lay in the hospital bed, Harriet s daughter told her, They want to move you to the fifth floor. If I don t tell anybody, she thought, maybe Lou will come home before they find out. Harriet held her broken family out to God the way a child might give a broken toy to a parent to be fixed. What s brought you to this hospital is you ve tried to fix everything, and the bottom line is you can t fix any of it

A native of the Mississippi Delta, Harriet Sulcer is a successful businesswoman, leading a team of more than ninety national marketing directors. She is a mother and grandmother, and was recently widowed after almost fifty years of marriage. A graduate of Ole Miss, she lives in Woodstock, Georgia.

"Wonderfully inspiring story" according to EP. Wonderfully inspiring story! I read it in one sitting, crying throughout most of it. I was luck enough to meet Harriet once before I knew who she was or that she had written a book it was suggested me to me as a Must Read, so I did and am thankful for her perspective, wisdom and insights.. "A top read for me that profoundly impacted my faith and identity in Christ Jesus! Thank you!" according to Carol N. Watson. I read lots of books but I would rate this one in my top 5 best ever! I know Harriet personally but had NO idea the depth of the real story behind this humble woman of God that I love and cherish in our Juice Plus business. It is the kind of story that you just don't want to put down hoping and believing for a "good ending." Harriet's faith and trust in God is so woven through every page but as a former "approval addict," the one sente. @tammynolan said This story left its mark on my heart and life!!!!. I have read a lot of books, but only a few have left a lasting impression. Promise Point definitely left its mark on my heart and life. Harriet's story, her transparency, has had a profound impact on my life. This story challenged me in my faith, my relationships, and in my deepest passions and dreams. What a treasure to read a book that reveals, not just a great story, but points us to the incredible, loving God, Who is more than able
