She brings the reader into a world that few of us know much about. Highly recommended.. "Wonderful Read" according to Lee E. Ridder. My sister gave me this book as I will be travelling to Kenya with my family in January. We have booked Giraffe Manor for 2 nights. I absolutely loved reading this wonderful story about Daisy, the Rothschild giraffe who was saved from the wild by these 2 caring individuals. I could not put the book down. It is very well written, funny & shocking at the same time. It was written in the 70's but is not dated at all - it is still completely relevant today. I am now a converted lover of giraffes and cant wait to see them in the flesh - up close & personal!. "Is it Fantasy?" according to susan. Delightful story of a husband and wife who follow there dreams, and the darling giraffe that makes it all worth while.
