Four Stars Kimberly Reckles good for 5-7 year olds. A children's book for the child in all of us. Harold McFarland 1591471346The story line is simple; the truth concealed within is life changing. It is the story of a boy who was sad and did not want to be sad anymore. So, he devised a plan. His plan was to get rid of everything that made him sad. He methodically gets rid of things as soon as he realizes they make him sad or have the potential to make him sad. Eventually he realizes that getting rid of everything that could make him sad also got rid of everything that made him happy. Thi. Calideb said Good book to engage kids!. Was looking for some books to use to engage children who have experienced domestic abuse and abandonment. This is a good book for elementary age kids who have feelings they don't know how to express. I've begun to use it with grade school clients and it's allowed for more interaction and discussion. Just what the doctor ordered!
