"More from the Dukes of War - great story!" according to R. Norman. Really enjoyed this, but then Erica Ridley is a great writer. This story is part of the Dukes of War series and revolves around Sarah Fairfax, who's intended is believed killed. She is heavily pregnant with his child and has agreed to marry one of his friends to protect herself and the child. Despite both knowing this would be a loveless marriage, it is obvious the man who has offered to marry her does care for her well-being - after all, he is prepared to take on another man's child. Just as she's about to say her vows, her presumed dead fia. Troubled Middle I love regency romances, and I've read a few of this author's books now. I generally find them entertaining but lacking depth. This one was even more entertaining than usual - great premise, very compelling hero and heroine, great chemistry, a little more depth to the storyline. The only thing that kept it from a 5 star rating for me was the middle of the book, during which I wanted to shake both of them. Otherwise, I really enjoyed it, and I look forward to the next one!.
