While cleaning she discovers her mother’s sister’s diary, and while reading it, her life is changed forever.While the story held my attention, I felt like I was reading something I had read before. It was predictable and I felt I knew the ending almost from the beginning.I received this book through Net Galley and the Publisher . "A Diary and a Wedding" according to Beth Lillis. The Christmas Secret by Wanda E. Brunsetter is a short novella about the upcoming wedding of Elizabeth Canning to David Steiner. Just a few weeks prior to the wedding, Elizabeth discovers an old diary that belonged to her mother’s sister and makes a startling discovery that will affect her wedding. Will the wedding continue or be called off?This is a rather familiar story line and as the book is rather short it is not possible to become connected with the characters. As a novella, it was a pleasant book to read although the outcome really didn’t come as a surprise.I received a copy of this book from NetGalley , Barbour Publish.
