Disappointing- great writing, incomplete story I'm really quite sad to be writing this because I absolutely LOVE Margaret Atwood and was so excited at the start of this book but unfortunately I was very let down.The prose is typically Atwood and, thankfully, that is still beautiful and captivating and draws you right into this dystopian world but unfortunately the story just never gets going. In a nutshell the story revolves around a dystopian future where infertility is the norm and the position of women has been reduced to the point where a select few are used as "breeding vessels". In other words they are less people and more property, though a prized one (in some regards).The Handmaid'. Gorilichis said Powerful..
