Ford is well on his way to becoming the Raymond Chandler of Seattle.” —Kirkus Reviews. “G.M
"Not Leo, but just as intriguing" according to Rose M. Griffith. I've been a GM Ford fan since "Who in Hell is Wanda Fuca?" which I read shortly after it came out in 1995. Although I love (and want to punch) Leo Waterman, I decided it was time to try some of Ford's other writings. Frank Corso was a hit with me, so I turned to "Threshold" and Mickey Dolan to see how he measures up.No disappointment there! The mystery part keeps you turning the pages to find out more about the who, the why and . Wooley in PSL said NICE NEW CHARACTER. This is four books in a row I have read with four or five stars. I am on a reading roll. G.M. Ford can write. I just can't figure out why he isn't more popular, At leeast in my area.hard to find used books. His two characters Leo Waterman and Frank Corso, I think I have read all those books. Now we get Det. Sgt. Mickey Dolan, a good cop, in the first (I hope) book with him THRESHOLD. Dolan get a must solve political case with c. "Threshold satisfies!" according to bethk. Detective Mickey Dolan presents as a new character for G. M. Ford. In a complex case of intrigue involving sexually abused and exploited children, Dolan is dealing with issues of his own. A satisfying read.
In 2011, after a twelve-year hiatus, he decided to write a new Leo Waterman novel, Thicker Than Water, which Thomas & Mercer promptly bought. Ford broke onto the mystery scene with Who in Hell is Wanda Fuca?, a gin-soaked tome featuring Seattle private investigator Leo Waterman. G.M. Ford lives and works in Seattle, and is married to the beautiful and talented mystery author
Gifted with the ability to bring people out of comas, Grace is reluctant to be thrust into the public eye but determined to help those in need. When a powerful and connected city councilman reports that his wife and two daughters have disappeared, Dolan is assigned the case—knowing full well that his career is riding on the outcome. While investigating, Dolan meets Eve Pressman and her remarkable daughter, Grace.
