As an advancing beginner working toward intermediate, I have found this book inspiring and open-minded. Havas recognizes that playing violin is mostly a mental challenge, and he. Ok, but needs help. Approach seems OK, but never fully able to grasp. This book would benefit from a DVD with someone actually demonstrating the techniques. Obtained several good pointers. Many of the illustrations and descriptions however were hard if not impossible to follow both mysel
