Living at the Whitehead's Zoo said great HELP. This book is a great resource to prepare for the AP Bio. We only wish that we had purchased it earlier vs later. The book downs it so much easier than the actual class.. Brian De Medici said Practice tests : GOOD Review section: Not so much. I got this book as a study guide from my AP Bio teacher. Straight from the get go I realized how condensed this book is. It pretty much just gives you the general idea of a concept, just barely going into depth. Now, if you already know most of the material and just need a quick brush up, this book is for you. If you want a book with detailed information that will go more in depth, perhaps you should look elsewhere (Cliffs? Barron's?)I must say, however, that the practice tests were VERY MUCH like the AP exam, just the right amount of challenge to build your test taking confidence. Well, it worked.she got a 5 My daughter worked with this book for a couple of months prior to her AP Bio exam in May, and sure enoughshe got a 5 on her exam. Cannot credit the book exclusively, as she had an excellent teacher, but my daughter is convinced that working the book perpared her for a couple of answers that had slipped through the cracks. Given the college credit and the rising cost of school, the book was well worth the time and money. Great study aid, and good way to support your student.
