Terry L said This is an action packed military novel. This is an action packed military novel, which stars a young female lieutenant with a large skip on her shoulder. The story is good and the author moves the action along quickly. It is a good read.. An epic tale of the perfect woman I am a huge fan of Dorsey's Gateway series. But, I would definitely have to say that this offshoot story about Emily Martin is my favorite of all the books. I feel a very personal connection with Emily, and I think that a lot of female readers feel the same way. She is an easily relatable character, the warrior who just wants the same respect given to her male counterparts. This story, which is really her background story, provides so much encouragement for the girls who are different, the engineering, boxin. Fun story Eric William Henson Needs a little editing but less than average. Good story, although it stretched my suspension of disbelief to have one person be able to be alive after all that.
It is into this wasteland that a unit of the Humani Elite Guard set out on a recon mission to investigate a planet they suspect contains an illegal Terillian base. The mission quickly falls apart and Lieutenant Emily Martin is thrust into command when her base ship, Draxius, is destroyed and her commander is severely injured. Stranded on an inhospitable planet with enemies all around them, Martin and her men find themselves outmatched and outgunned in a desperate gamble for survival. The never-ending clandestine war between the Xen Empire and the Terillian Confederation continues and the Dark Zone is littered with the bod
