Judge on its own merits! teddy1950 Sadly, amazon reviews bring out the worst in some people, as made all too clear by the only comments this beautiful book has so far received since its release in late 2010. Deliberate distortions and outright falsehoods are aimed --- for whatever twisted agendas --- at over-turning the hard work of years and prevent us from learning about it. In this world, merely to be accused is to be found guilty, leaving the victim without any means to respond. In any case, whatever he might say is dismissed a priori as a lame excuse.What a shame, then --- a. HBPattskyn said An awful re-writing of history. It is exactly this kind of fanciful "history" (one that flies in the face of all scholarly and archaeological evidence) and shoe-horning of multiple systems (i.e. comparing the Yggdrasil and Nine Worlds to the Kundalini and Chakras) that makes real study of the Runes (or any system for that matter) so challenging to the new student.There is nothing wrong with UPG (unsubstantiated personal gnosis)--except when it is passed off as hard fact or flies so in the face of accepted history as to be impossible to swallow.
