Authentic diagrams and blueprints show exactly how a car is built and how an engine works. Any kid who's ever dreamed of owning a Ferrari, getting behind the wheel of a huge truck or a fierce fighter jet—or at least being able to whip out a pencil and amaze friends by drawing them all—will race to get a copy of this coolest of how-to art instructionals. "Excellent!" according to Debora J. Kitchenmaster. Excellent for a boy who is interested in drawing and cars. Perfect for a birthday gift.. Alex said dissappointing for anyone who wants to learn. I am a professional illustrator and was looking for a cool drawing book for my son. I came across this book at the library and thought "I would love to see if this has some good tips or even neat tricks with drawing cars." After the first page, I quickly learned that no, it's not a book that teaches anyone how to draw cars, but rather tells you about the cars you'd like to draw.So if your kids like cars, cool they'll like this. If your kids or anyone else wants to actually DRAW cars, stay away from this book. There are much better resources. i wish i could give it zero stars!! Just with all of Hart's books this book cover is misleading. You look at the cover and think I'm really going to learn something and you read the book and get disappointed. He only shows the finnished step.He doesn't show the steps on how to get to the finnished step.Instead of describing how he draws it he gives you a history on each car.I'm sorry but telling a person the car history doesn't show them how to draw the car.I'm starting to think that Hart's books aren't very good.
This book is just plain fun, and it might inspire someone who hadn't thought of creative art to produce some very satisfying work. Each subject is accompanied by a brief history, performance stats, and in some cases authentic diagrams and blueprints. The basics of shape, dimension, and perspective are applied to Lamborghinis and Porsches, American muscle cars, monster trucks, stealth fighters, and Apache helicopters.
