A great little book, but not original material 8bitPunk Love Letters in the Sand is a wonderful book containing a collection Khalil Gibran's writings about "Love".Opposite each entry there is an artistic calligraphy illustration.Almost half of this book contains writings pulled directly from "The Prophet" (This is why I only gave it 4 "stars" instead of 5). Though I was disappointed that this wasn't an "original" work by Khalil Gibran, the calligraphy makes up for it.The book's small size (about 6 inches square) and illustrations make it ideal for display on a "coffee table" or; standing up, cover-out, on a book shelf.A great addition to any library.. beautiful poetry SheWhoReads Gibran has a way of writing his own soul out into words. this book is a very nice collection of his brilliant poems and is a nice addition to his other great works. HG Marks said Stolen love letters. If you aren't very creative and you need to send someone love letters, steal them from Khalil Gibran. Obviously. Although I don't think these are his best, they're probably still better than anything you could come up with. Unless you're a poet, which in that case, just write your own and keep this book around for hitting yourself in the head with, for inspiration.
Optimistic and wise, these love poems convey a mystical certainty of the arrival of love, while dramatizing the search for a soul mate that takes place in daily life, the imagination, and dreams. Lassaâd Metoui’s lyrical calligraphy interprets Khalil Gibran’s writing and makes it a rich source of comfort and enlightenment.. Inviting reflection on the meaning of love and eloquently rendering the chain of moments that the experience of love leads us through, this famous inspirational poet channels the same proverbial simplicity and lyrical beauty that made his poem "The Prophet" instantly and internationally loved
