DESCRIPTION:
A Gentle Historical Romance Starting from the first page, it was difficult to stop reading 'Michigan Brides'. I was immediately immersed into times of the Industrial Revolution and the social culture in Detroit.I would classify this book of three stories as a romantic historical fiction with a G rating. What drew me to this book was the time of the Industrial Revolution and the beginnings of the first gasoline powered automob. Brides sheann I purchased this as a gift for my sister, as she had read different state bride books and enjoyed them, she said it was good but by a different author then she had read.
Felicity does a very noble deed only to lead her to a romance that would be banned by her wealthy society. Relive Michigan’s industrial boom alongside three women who must change their way of viewing the world before they can realize love. Shannon has seen too much about industry fail, prompting her to reject the suit of one of Henry Ford’s employees. Annabelle’s interest in a potato picker is barred by the stigma society has placed on his ruined family. Can each woman find the faith to push through the barriers so they can embrace romance?
MICHIGAN BRIDES is a lovely collection of romance stories full of faith and love in turn-of-the-century Detroit.
