I was never hungry, and I didn't miss eating meat or dairy after the first week.. something new and mind-blowing about food but was grossly disappointed. Not only was it loaded with just plane Opened the book anxiously ready to learn something new and mind-blowing about food but was grossly disappointed.Not only was it loaded with just plane old common sense information about what not to eat, i.e.: don't eat a doughnut its bad for you…umm duh!It was also misguiding in my opinion what to replace the doughnut with instead!The worst part for me was that I was hard pressed to find any clear concrete list or chapter identifying with the title of this book!Instead there were laborious recipes after recipes listed on what to eat for each meal and how to make . "and I think that even Neal Barnard has more recently gotten on board that there are good fats that one should partake of" according to L. Lawrence. I very much believe in eating a mostly vegetarian or vegan diet, however this book is outdated. It reminds me of the Susan Powter book that advocates eating unlimited carbs and no fat. More recently it has come to light that fat isn't the enemy, and I think that even Neal Barnard has more recently gotten on board that there are good fats that one should partake of. I was pretty disappointed with this book, although I do respect what Neal is trying to do.
