I read this book in its original Italian (the English version is coming out in a few days) and I must say that Beppe Severgnini has made the most of his year in the US. Many of the things I noticed since moving to America have been captured in this book with rare and insightful humor. Beppe shows differences from how Italians view things (fear of air conditioning for Italians and love of it by Americans) but always with respect. Beppe si not making fun of Americans as much of highlighting how differences can not only be enriching, but funny altogether. I have since read just about every book he has written and str. His best book! Andrea Matthews Clark Severgnini's funniest book to date! I bought the English version ("Ciao, America") and read the two side by side to improve my Italian comprehension. His description of America, through the eyes of an Italian, will have you laughing out loud -- and will give you some insight into the culture we take for granted here. A must-read!.
