With every disease and symptom is associated a nutritional deficiency, and we need much more than isolated vitamins to make us well. Vic Shayne's new book is based on years of research to prove that vitamins fail to act as nutrients unless still contained in natureês original whole foods. In this age of refined, altered and chemicalized diets and exposure to environmental toxins, our cells demand whole food supplementation for real nutrients that vitamin pills alone cannot begin to offer us. For the millions of us who see the importance of taking supplements, this book offers secrets that vitamin companies would rather not be published. The more we know, the more control we have over our own health.. Dr. Nature's wondrous healing and life-sustaining power resides within whole foods, not vitamins alone. Vitamins need synergists to function. The difference between illness and health is often just a few nutrients away

"A must-read for all health nuts!" according to Suzanne M. Borho. If you're like I was (up until reading this book), taking 10 different supplements a day or more, thinking you're doing your body favors, you need to read this book. Completely changed my paradigm! I have started juicing and eating more raw fruits and vegetables and have nixed the synthetic, fractionated store-bought vitamin concoctions, in favor of the whole, natural, balanced nutrition provided by NATURE. Well-researched with many scientific studies are mentioned showing the superiority of the factors provided by nature over those created by man.. Amazon Customer said Disappointing. I was expecting some guidance on how to improve my diet. It contains too much on the writer's gripes about every supplement you could possibly take. There seemed to be no balance in the way it was written. It is written in very technical language also. Didn't feel encouraged enough to read it cover to cover.
